Randolph Ridge, located in Randolph, NJ, is a 7,500 sq. ft. model home completed for Toll Brothers while employed by Mary Cook Associates in Chicago, IL.
Project Overview
Randolph Ridge is an exclusive enclave featuring 25 luxury estate homes, each settled on 2.5-acres lots within the prestigious Randolph Township of Morris County, New Jersey. Everything about the Hampton model is meant to be grand, at just over 7,000 square feet, with 4-bedrooms and 4.5-bathrooms.
The Hampton model is designed to appeal to successful and active families. The Randolph school district is one of the best in the country, with top academics, arts, and athletics. This home offers space for any type of entertainment, from formal to informal, to birthday celebrations and Superbowl parties, plus everything in between.
Fireplace Design
The fireplace is the central focal point of the entire home. At two-stories high, it can be seen from the moment that you walk through the front door. Located in the large family room, directly off the chef’s kitchen.
A stacked stone runs from the floor to ceiling, which brings texture and weight into a space that can handle it. To break up the stone, I designed offset wood mantles to be installed at the top third of the fireplace. The mantles were designed to be very simple but add the necessary visual weight to the large fireplace.
